Daniel Neil Gardner

October 15, 1944 - February 10, 2012

Daniel Neil Gardner, 67 of Logansport, passed away at 3:05 a.m. Friday, February 10, 2012 in St. Elizabeth East, Lafayette, following a sudden illness.

Born October 15, 1944 in Cleveland, Ohio, Son of the late Ronald Neil and Elizabeth Bruce Gardner. He was married May 25, 1994, in Jamaica, to Sandy Painter Gardner, who survives.

A veteran of the Vietnam War, Mr. Gardner served in the United States Air Force for 24 years. He was retired from the Logansport State Hospital, where he had worked in security.

Mr. Gardner attended the Seventh Day Adventist Church. He was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign War Post 3790.

Surviving with his wife are two daughters, Amanda Wells of Logansport, IN, and Ramona Mauser and her husband Greg, of Monument, Colorado; one sister, Pat Miller and her husband Bobby, of Pittsburgh, PA; one niece, Mary Mechelli; and seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Rhoda Gardner Fiore; and two brothers, John and Ron Gardner.

Funeral Information

A memorial service with military honors will be conducted at a later date at Legion Circle in the Mount Hope Cemetery in Logansport.
